As of October 2026, **ExpressVPN** is the best VPN for NFL Game Pass: fastest of the 8 VPNs in our Q3 2026 benchmark (478 Mbps on a 1 Gbps line; DAZN recommends 16 Mbps for 1080p), with servers in 113 countries. Exception: DAZN doesn't offer Game Pass to US customers; the NFL sells them NFL+ instead. Season Pro Ultimate adds Multiview (up to 4 games at once), HDR and Dolby 5.1 on select games, and 5 streams in 2 locations instead of 2 streams in 1. ## Does NFL Game Pass work with a VPN, and what does DAZN say? DAZN is plain about it: **“we do not support the use of VPNs”**. Its help centre says using a VPN to get around location-based restrictions breaks the broadcasting agreements it signs country by country, and its terms (Spanish version, valid from 17 July 2026) say you use the service mainly in the country where you set up your account. No VPN is guaranteed to work with Game Pass. The more useful fact is that most subscribers don't need one to watch it. DAZN says a Game Pass subscription can be accessed in over 200 countries, so a fan from Madrid or Melbourne travelling between Game Pass markets just opens the DAZN app. A VPN earns its place on hotel, airport and bar Wi-Fi, where it encrypts your traffic; for Americans abroad reaching NFL+ they already pay for; and for reaching your home country's free-to-air NFL coverage, mapped in our [2026 NFL season guide](https://vpnrank.io/best-vpn/sports/nfl/2026-season). It is not a way around the UK and Ireland blackouts, which are part of those countries' product. One Game Pass rule catches VPN users out. Season Pro allows 2 simultaneous streams from **1 IP address**; Ultimate allows 5 streams from 2. A VPN gives your device a new IP, so a TV on the VPN and a phone off it count as two connections and Season Pro shows its streaming-limit message. Keep both devices on the same connection. ## Where is NFL Game Pass cheapest in 2026? On DAZN's 12 October 2026 prices, with Season Pro discounted for the rest of the season, the lowest upfront prices are the UK (£89), Germany (€99) and Spain (€99). Ireland is €149.99, Italy €154.99, France €164.99 and Australia A$149. Weekly Pro, a one-off 7-day pass with no commitment, starts at £16.99 in the UK and €19.99 in Germany and Spain. Canada has no separate price, because Game Pass comes with a DAZN subscription there. Three things to check before you pay. Season Pro auto-renews unless you cancel before the end of the minimum term, so set a reminder if you want one season only. DAZN prices by the country where you open your account, and its VPN policy rules out signing up through a cheaper country, so buy where you live. And if you only care about the playoffs, weekly passes can undercut the season: at October's UK price, four 7-day passes (£67.96) cover Wild Card weekend from 16 January 2027, the Divisional round, the Conference Championships on 31 January and Super Bowl LXI on 14 February, against £89 for Season Pro. ## NFL Game Pass vs NFL+ vs Sunday Ticket: what Americans should buy Game Pass is the NFL's international product, offered by DAZN to everyone except customers in the US and China. At home, the NFL's own subscription is **NFL+**, sold in the United States only and not in US territories: $6.99 a month or $49.99 a year for live local and primetime games on a phone or tablet, NFL Network and live game audio, or NFL+ Premium at $14.99 a month or $99.99 a season, which adds NFL RedZone and full and condensed replays. NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube is the out-of-market Sunday afternoon package; it excludes preseason, playoff, local and national games, international games included. Abroad, the official route is **NFL Travel Pass**, DAZN's Game Pass for travelling Americans. You buy it at dazn.com/NFL from inside the US or on a US mobile device, for $17.99 for 7 days or $179.99 a year. It carries every game, RedZone and NFL Network, works only outside the US, Canada and China, asks for your location to confirm you are travelling, and allows two devices on the same IP address. If you already pay for NFL+ or Sunday Ticket and want it on a trip, that is the case for a VPN with US servers: ExpressVPN lists 56 US city locations. ## What speed does live NFL on Game Pass need, and does a VPN slow it down? DAZN streams every programme and live game in 1080p Full HD and recommends about 16 Mbps for it, 9 Mbps for 720p and 3 Mbps for standard definition. Season Pro Ultimate adds HDR and Dolby 5.1 on Thursday and Sunday Night Football, key playoff games and Super Bowl LXI. In our Q3 2026 benchmark (25 Aug 2026), on a 1 Gbps fiber line the 8 VPNs we benchmark delivered 415–478 Mbps (42–48% of the line, where the VPN server becomes the ceiling); on 200–300 Mbps home lines with a nearby server the providers measured there kept 80–93%. ExpressVPN posted the top figure, 478 Mbps on its Lightway protocol, with NordVPN at 462 Mbps and Surfshark at 421 Mbps. So on the 200–300 Mbps home lines in that benchmark, a VPN left many times the 16 Mbps a 1080p game needs. The server matters more than the brand: when you aren't changing country, pick one near you, the setup that kept 80–93% of the line. The full numbers are on our [VPN speed test results](https://vpnrank.io/vpn-speed-test) page. ## If your situation is different You live in the United States Game Pass isn't offered to you. NFL+ ($6.99 a month or $49.99 a year) covers live local and primetime games on a phone or tablet; NFL+ Premium ($14.99 a month, $99.99 a season) adds RedZone and replays. You're an American travelling abroad Buy DAZN's NFL Travel Pass in the US before you leave ($17.99 for 7 days, $179.99 a year). It works outside the US, Canada and China without a VPN. You live in Canada Game Pass comes with a DAZN subscription, so there is nothing extra to buy. You're in the UK Two Sunday games a week reach Game Pass 24 hours later. That is part of the UK product, and using a VPN to get around it goes against DAZN's VPN policy. Game Pass says you've reached your streaming limit Season Pro allows 2 streams from one IP address. Put both devices on the same connection, both on or both off the VPN, or move to Ultimate (5 streams, 2 IP addresses). ## Other questions ### Is NFL Game Pass available in the US? No. DAZN offers Game Pass excluding customers in the United States and China; the NFL's US product is NFL+, and the NFL sends anyone outside the US to DAZN. DAZN does sell NFL Travel Pass in the US, but it only works while you are outside the US, Canada and China. ### What does NFL Game Pass include in 2026? Every game live and on demand, including the International Games, the playoffs and Super Bowl LXI, plus NFL RedZone, NFL Network, full replays, Game in 40 and Sunday in 60. Every game has US, Spanish, Portuguese and French commentary, and more than 75% have German commentary. Season Pro Ultimate adds Multiview, HDR and Dolby 5.1 on select games and alternate feeds such as ManningCast. ### Can I watch NFL Game Pass while travelling? Usually, yes, without a VPN. DAZN says a Game Pass subscription can be accessed in over 200 countries, and downloads let you watch replays offline. It is not sold in the US or China; Americans travelling abroad use NFL Travel Pass. ### When does the 2026 NFL season end, and how long does Season Pro last? The regular season opened on Wednesday 9 September 2026 and ends with Week 18 on 9 and 10 January 2027. Wild Card weekend starts on 16 January and Super Bowl LXI is on Sunday 14 February 2027 at SoFi Stadium. Season Pro access runs until 31 July 2027. ## How we know - [DAZN — NFL Game Pass plans and features (checked 12 Oct 2026)](https://www.dazn.com/en-GB/l/nfl-game-pass/) - [DAZN — How much is NFL Game Pass in my country?
